Heavy-Duty Anti-Backing Gate Set for Safer Cattle Crush Operations in South Africa
The Anti-Backing Gate Set from Livestock Wealth Pty Ltd is a practical and reliable cattle handling accessory designed to prevent cattle from reversing out of the crush, improving safety and efficiency during livestock handling. This cattle anti-backing gate system ensures smooth one-way cattle movement, reducing stress, labour, and handling time.
Description
Anti-Backing Gate Set. Bolted directly onto the crush section, the anti-backing gates open only in the forward direction when pushed by cattle entering the crush. Once the animal moves forward, the gates are angled and welded at a precise gradient, allowing them to automatically fall back into position behind the cattle, effectively blocking any backward movement.
This design enhances operator safety, keeps cattle correctly positioned, and improves workflow during weighing, vaccinations, inspections, and veterinary procedures.
When installed in a crush with a 700mm internal width, the closed gates leave a 120mm gap between the two gates, ensuring effective restraint while allowing natural cattle movement.
